About The Shot
New Providence, Bahamas/ 2024
"I was following a school of Spotted Eagle Rays as they circled around a coral reef during the late evening. Having spent three hours in the water freediving, I patiently waited and observed these majestic creatures, striving to intercept their trajectory with my freediving. During one particular pass, one of the eagle rays separated from the group of six. I dove down, taking cover amidst the edges of the coral reef as the eagle ray approached. As it glided directly overhead, it paused, seemingly to scratch itself or dislodge a remora fish hitching a ride. The Eagle Ray halted perfectly aligned with the sun, providing a breathtaking moment akin to a solar eclipse, which I was fortunate enough to capture."
