Red Cushion Sea Stars, commonly referred to as starfish, are predominantly found on sandy seabeds and among seagrass. They favor sandy areas near coral reefs for better protection and food access. These omnivorous creatures feed on various animals, including invertebrates like sea urchins and sponges. A Red Cushion Sea Star reaches sexual maturity at a radius of five inches, at which point they develop the necessary male or female organs for reproduction.
