Tiger sharks get their name from the stripes on their bodies that resemble those of tigers. The texture of their skin reminds me of sandpaper, featuring scars and bruises likely acquired from hunting or mating. Remora fish often attach themselves to other marine animals, hitchhiking and eating any food scraps discarded when the host animal feeds. While every species of shark has a slightly different appearance, Tiger sharks are among the most distinctive.
