"While on the search for a school of Spotted Eagle rays in the shallows, one Eagle Ray separated from the group and began swimming directly towards me over the sandy seabed in about 25 feet of water. I freedove down to intercept the ray, but my dive was belated, and as I descended, the ray altered its course, revealing its underbelly and the remora fish hitching a ride beneath its eyes."
