About The Shot
New Providence, Bahamas/ 2023
Camouflaged within the vibrant reef, the Red Lionfish hovers silently, a patient hunter in waiting. Like a stealthy predator in the shadows of the ocean, it remains unmoved by my approach, confident and unchallenged in its domain. With its origins in the Indian Ocean, this striking fish was unintentionally introduced to Bahamian waters, where it thrives without natural predators. As twilight fades, the lionfish springs into action, relying on its intricate stripes to blend into the coral as it prepares for a night’s hunt, consuming any creature small enough to fall within reach of its powerful jaws
