About The Shot
New Providence, Bahamas/ 2022
This shipwreck is probably one of my most dived shipwrecks I’ve done here in New Providence, Bahamas. I was artificially sunk for diving purposes, so not ot worry, there were no human casualties. In comparison to the mode, I had the “Easy” role when capturing this image. I needed to maintain a fixed position, making every effort to ensure the pipes of the shipwreck remained perfectly symmetrical. In contrast, the model's role was a bit more complex. She had to swim into position, assume a meditation pose by folding her legs while hovering precisely at the ideal height over the central square shape formed by the pipes. This was no small feat, especially considering the challenging conditions we faced. At a depth of approximately 60ft/ 20m underwater, the absence of a mask meant that seeing clearly underwater was not possible. Furthermore, contending with underwater currents added an extra layer of difficulty to the task. Surprisingly, despite these challenges, and with me and the model’s fine-tuned experience working together often, we managed to accomplish our goal in just three attempts.
