“The essence of "free" in freediving goes beyond a mere physical endeavor; it encompasses an emotional and profound sensation that defies conventional description. This sensation cannot be coerced; instead, it must be embraced with an open heart. It empowers individuals to accomplish astonishing feats, break through personal barriers, and revel in a profound sense of achievement that remains uniquely their own. In creating this image, I, too, held my breath, and together with the freediver, we sought to capture the art of freediving. It is an art that enables one to break free from the metaphorical chains imposed by society and the self-made constraints of the mind. By daring to inhale deeply, to feel the gentle caress of water against your skin, and by yielding to the pressure of the deep, you can touch upon the true essence of freedom in its most natural form.”
