For only a few nights each year, Nassau grouper travel across The Bahamas to gather in extraordinary numbers beneath the full moon. These spawning aggregations are among the rarest natural events to witness underwater, shaped by exact timing, strong currents, remote locations, and conditions that have to align almost perfectly.

This series documents that journey through a limited body of fine art photographs created during a scientific expedition in remote Bahamian waters. After an unsuccessful first attempt, the team returned months later and finally witnessed thousands of grouper gathering in one place, surrounded by other spawning fish and large predators. Only a small selection of images from the expedition has been released as limited-edition fine art prints, allowing you to own a piece of a natural event that exists for only a brief moment each year.
